Kamel Berkouk is a contemporary artist based in Basel, Switzerland. His paintings explore colour, gesture and expressive forms through oil painting and drawing. The work combines abstraction and figurative elements, creating dynamic compositions influenced by modern expressionist traditions.
He was born in Mulhouse in 1967. As soon as he finished his secondary education he devoted himself passionately to art and decided to continue his studies in École des beaux art Mulhouse, where he assimilated with great ease all the techniques of drawing and painting.
He has had several successful exhibitions in Basel, Zurich, Berlin, Chicago, Miami, New York, Paris, Monaco and Bruxelles . Berkouk has the scale of a great master of the twentieth century with a unique collection of more than six thousand works that is divided into three major periods: Neo-expressionism, primitivism and contemporary art.
